Summer is here and that means Power of Produce is back at the Morris Area Farmers Market! You will find a variety of locally grown produce, home-made baked goods, and more Thursdays from 3-6pm at the Morris Public Library square beginning June 15.
Stevens Community Medical Center is a proud sponsor of ‘Power of Produce’. Kids will learn about, prepare, and taste fruits and vegetables under the SCMC tent. There will be activities for the kids, such as: kale painting, planting seeds, scavenger hunt, fruit and veggie BINGO and more! Children 12 years and under will earn $2 to spend at the Farmer’s Market each week for taking part in the ‘Power of Produce’.
Power of Produce will introduce children to seasonal, locally grown produce and engage them in learning about, preparing, and tasting fruits and vegetables! Contact SCMC Dietitian Alyssa Thooft with any questions at 320-589-1313.
