Urgent Care is defined as care that is accessible without an appointment. Urgent care clinics are for problems that are not life-threatening but should be taken care of the same day.
Examples of potential Urgent Care conditions may include:
· cuts requiring stitches
· broken toes or fingers
· minor burns
· minor animal bites
· foreign objects in the eye, ear or nose
· sore throats, earaches and other minor ailments for children and adults
· insect bites
· simple rashes
· skin infections
· sprains and strains
Life threatening problems should be taken care of in the Emergency Room.
We will strive to always meet your needs by providing access to care. No appointments are needed, therefore wait times will vary due to volume. SCMC will not turn away any patients from urgent care.
To increase access to care, our family practice providers will open a limited number of appointments each morning Monday through Friday for same-day treatment of non-emergent medical conditions.
