The unprecedented nature of COVID-19 requires us at Stevens Community Medical Center to navigate this pandemic day-by-day and hour-by-hour. Please know, we are taking this very seriously and have the utmost regard for the safety and health of our patients, staff and community members.
Based on the guidelines set by the MDH and CDC, we are not allowing visitors at this time. In addition, we are limiting access into our building.
Patients should call our hotline number at 320-349-1113 if they are concerned about COVID-19 where a nurse will ask the appropriate questions and advise on the best plan of action. SCMC has set up an area for medical screening exams (Alternate Screening Site) specifically for COVID-19 and patients are encouraged to call the hotline number before presenting to the clinic. The main entrance on South Street is where everyone should enter, with the exception for ER visits. You will be greeted at that time and screened. Everyone will be screened by a nurse upon entering the clinic.
Symptoms we are screening for are:
Fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath and other respiratory symptoms.
If you are scheduled for a planned visit and you have any of these symptoms please call before you come in. This will help prevent the spread of these respiratory symptoms. PLEASE NOTE: If you are coming in for a regular scheduled visit or wellness check we ask that you bring ONLY ONE additional person/guardian along with to your appointment.
SCMC can still assist you with your health concerns UNRELATED to respiratory symptoms/COVID-19. Some of those ways to communicate with us are by communicating with your primary care provider or their nurse via telephone and MyChart.
Our advice based on all of the guidelines is to stay home if you are sick. Continue to wash your hands and cover your cough.
These precautionary measures are to ensure the safety of our staff and patients.
