Transitioning into Early Adulthood

Stevens Community Medical Center and Morris Area Schools are excited to announce a presentation exclusively for high school seniors and their parents on transitioning highschool seniors into early adulthood. 

The presentation will be held Wednesday, March 22 from 1-2 pm in the Morris Area High School Concert Hall. The presentation will be 30 minutes, followed by a 20 minute panel with current college students who will answer questions from the high school seniors. Please bus school counselors and students to MAHS to attend the presentation in the concert hall. Our Goal is to be give parents and their high school seniors useful and practical information will be covered to provide education about self-care and resilience while transitioning into college, or other life paths that students may take. 

This presentation is a proactive approach  to educate students about mental health and building/creating resilience. Biological, psychological, social, and sociocultural factors involved in the  transition will be covered.
