Jessica is a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, qualified to diagnose, treat and prescribe medications for patients with mental health concerns. She has training and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan. Some of her practice specialties include (but not limited to) ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, and Schizophrenia.
Jessica provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management with special attention to individual needs, including attention to each patient's personal history, their specific context, stressful or traumatic life experiences or circumstances, each patient's particular concerns about, or fears of medications, all of which she approaches with patience, warmth, understanding, and helpful explanations that facilitate treatment and the patient's sense of comfort and trust. She is flexible and integrative in her approach in order to meet the needs and desired outcomes of each individual. Jessica is enthusiastic to apply her experience and compassion with clients as they begin to address issues that will help them to improve their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment. Her primary focuses are providing honest communication with her patients and quality resources for all those involved. Her style of practice can be focused on traditional treatments, such as prescribing psychiatric medications and may also include alternative treatments, such as natural treatments including but not limited to vitamins, supplements, lifestyle modification- diet, exercise, etc.
Jessica received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden University and she is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Nursing to utilize a variety of assessment and treatment modalities including psychiatric evaluations and psychotropic medication management.
Jessica hobbies include reading, writing, spending time at the lake and with family, hiking, bicycling, boating and traveling.
