Originally from North Carolina, Nick earned his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies. Through his work and education, Nick brings expertise in treating mental health conditions and assisting clients through difficulties such as depression, anxiety, trauma, family therapy, and life's difficulties. He has experience working with adolescents, adults, military service members and veterans, couples, and families. He has specific training in trauma-informed therapies and brief problem-solving therapy.
Prior to joining SCMC, Nick has worked in a variety of mental health and medical settings including Mayo Clinic, Woodland Centers, the US Department of Veteran Affairs, and Camp Pendleton Naval Medical Center. When he isn’t working, he’s either volunteering as an area EMT, spending time with family, or enjoying the outdoors, woodworking, running, or watching sports.
