Dr. John Torseth received his B.A., magna cum laude in Chemistry and Biology at Saint Olaf College June, 1976. He received his medical degree at the University of Minnesota June, 1981 and completed his internship and residency at the University of Vermont June, 1984. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Stanford University June, 1987. He also received his M.S. in Microbiology, Immunology December, 1997. He is American Board of Internal Medicine certified and has been a research consultant, research assistant and was a physician investigator from 1988-1999. He has worked as an Internist at various facilities since 1999.
Dr. Torseth has worked as a locums tenens in emergency medicine at various facilities since 2000 where he brings his expertise in all these areas of medicine here to SCMC, he works primarily in the Emergency Department.
